Is your Password Secure?

Hello guys. Today we are going to talk about passwords. We use social media every day. There is one thing common to our various accounts i.e. they require passwords to log in. These passwords are also key to access our online banking services. I don't need to explain how crucial this information can be. It is very important to have strong and secure passwords. If there is anything that could give you a heart attack in today's world, is your unsafe passwords.
How to be sure that you have a decently secure password? There are some points which you should always keep in mind, whenever creating a password. First of all, it should be alphanumeric. I think nowadays that goes without saying. Also, keep in mind that password should be the combination of random characters. If it is something personal to you like mobile no, date of birth or your loved one's name etc. can be easily guessed. It doesn't even require any hacking skills. You can always add special characters to make it even more strong. If you have any trouble in setting and remembering these complicated random passwords, then you can always use a password manager. Nowadays most of the websites already recommend these conditions for setting up passwords. If still, you don't think that setting up the password in this manner would be anything special then, let me explain the reason behind it.
See, most of the password cracking software work on the concept of permutations. Whenever they attack a system, the software tries all the possible permutations. It starts with an array of numbers, then letters and so on. If you have an alphanumeric password with special characters, then it will take too much longer for the software to crack it. It's a tiresome process so, maybe the guy who is trying to hack will quit. It reduces your chances of being hacked by high probability.
The truth is this, there is no ultimate security. Every password can be cracked. But following these steps will reduce your chances getting hacked marginally. If you want your account to be more secure then, you can always opt for two-factor authentication. If you want to know about two-factor authentication, then it will take whole another article. You can let me know that below in comments. Be secure not only physically, but in the online world too. Peace.
