Amazon Prime: Is it worth in India?

We all are aware of Amazon. The biggest e-commerce company on Earth. In India, e-commerce market is still quite new. Within 3-4 years, Amazon had established themselves as a key player in Indian e-commerce market. In 2016, they had introduced their prime service in India also. Amazon prime is already a widely used service in the USA. In early days, it didn't have many features but now, this service is well established. Lets see, is it worth in India?
Amazon prime costs right now INR1000 per year which is the really low price. It is even less than Rs.100 per month. So in terms of pricing, it  is not even brainier. This price is after the recent changes. Earlier it was INR500 per month. Luckily, I had this service from those days. Let's move on to the features. It provides free shipping on products you purchase on Amazon. Well, it does not provide free shipping on every product. Your product should be prime eligible. The best part is most of the products are now prime eligible.
It also provides you access to Amazon's digital library. The service goes with the name Amazon Prime Video. The library has grown with time. From the classics like The Godfather to some of the recent like Going in Style, it has all of it. It also has Bollywood movies and South Indian movies too. The Library is frequently updated. It also has popular TV Shows like Suits, Young Sheldon and Castle etc. to name few. Amazon also has their in-house shows which are also quite good.
In future, Amazon prime music is gonna launch in India and this service will available to Prime users without extra charge. Right now it is only available to those users who have Alexa enabled devices like echo etc. So, in conclusion, it is a really good package. Maybe its library is not as good as Netflix, but you are paying nothing in comparison to it. In my opinion, any person who does frequent online shopping, watch content online(especially US TV shows), this service is worth a shot.
